Cinco cortos finalistas competirán por el premio entre los 219 trabajos presentados

La cuarta edición de Málaga Short Corner proyectará 54 cortometrajes españoles recientes del 10 al 12 de marzo, en sesiones a las que acudirán más de una decena de representantes de festivales de todo el mundo.
La programación se estructura en diversas temáticas, desde el talento andaluz, la animación y el género fantástico, hasta la ficción y el documental. Además, se celebrará una sesión especial dedicada a Panamá, protagonista de Latinamerican Focus.
En su compromiso y apuesta por la creación audiovisual, RTVE presenta el Premio Talento Festival de Málaga / Málaga Short Corner al Mejor proyecto de cortometraje, dotado con 15.000 euros y el estreno en el próximo Festival de Málaga. En esta primera edición se han recibido 219 propuestas, de las que se han escogido los cinco finalistas.
Nace el Málaga Short Corner Pop-Up Show como un punto de encuentro para conectar a los creadores con la industria audiovisual, como la ECAM, Abycine Lanza, Festhome. Además, será la plataforma donde los cineastas de las cinco obras finalistas del nuevo Premio Ibershorts presenten sus proyectos.
Málaga Short Corner no sólo visibiliza y fomenta la circulación internacional del cortometraje español, sino que también impulsa la conversación en torno al formato, con un programa que pondrá el foco sobre aspectos que están en el debate del sector.

RTVE launches aN award for Spanish short films
The fourth edition of Málaga Short Corner will screen 50 recent Spanish and 6 Panama’s short films from 10 to 12 March, at sessions attended by more than a dozen representatives of festivals from all over the world.
The programme is structured around different themes, from Andalusian talent, animation and fantasy genre, to fiction and documentaries. There will also be a session dedicated to Panama, this year’s Latinamerican Focus country.
As part of its commitment to audiovisual creation, RTVE presents the Festival de Málaga / Malaga Short Corner Talent Award to the Best Short Film Project, with a prize of 15,000 euros and a premiere at the next Festival de Málaga. A total of 219 proposals were received in this first edition of the award, from which the five finalists were chosen.
The Málaga Short Corner Pop-Up Show is born as a meeting point to connect creators with the audiovisual industry, such as ECAM, Abycine Lanza, and Festhome. It will also be the platform for the finalists filmmakers of the new Ibershorts Award to present their projects.
Málaga Short Corner not only brings visibility and promotes the international circulation of Spanish short films, but also encourages conversation around the format, with a programme that will focus on aspects that are being debated in the sector.
