Jóvenes talentos y directores experimentados mostrarán sus cortos en Málaga Short Corner, que se afianza en su segunda edición como espacio para este formato en el marco de Spanish Screenings Content. La sección está diseñada para la promoción, difusión y distribución internacional de los cortometrajes españoles más recientes. Se contará con unos 350 acreditados: distribuidoras, compradores y programadores de festivales internacionales especializados.
La cuidada selección de 65 cortometrajes, que incluye ocho obras de la Comunidad Autónoma protagonista de Territorios, Canarias, se exhibirá desde hoy al 6 de marzo en los Multicines Rosaleda, en 17 sesiones que agrupan los títulos en géneros, temáticas o procedencia geográfica; dos de ellas están dedicadas a escuelas de cine, y otras dos a producciones andaluzas. Las actividades continúan por la tarde con encuentros sobre temas que afectan al sector y que, además, se trasladan al auditorio Cajamar.
Como novedad este año, la denominación Industry Talks agrupa las charlas que promueve Spanish Screenings Content, entre las que se encuentran las de la sección Málaga Short Corner. Estos se plantean como un espacio de intercambio de ideas entre talentos emergentes, expertos y profesionales de la industria audiovisual.
Se debatirán, entre otras cuestiones, las claves del camino que recorre una obra para ser seleccionada en un festival de clase A, así como consejos para conseguir financiación. También se abordará la trayectoria del erotismo en el cortometraje y la influencia de lo queer en su desarrollo.

Young talents and experienced directors will show their short films at Málaga Short Corner, which is consolidating its position in its second edition as a space for this format within the framework of Spanish Screenings Content. The section is designed for the promotion, distribution, and international broadcasting of the most recent Spanish short films. There will be around 350 accredited participants: distributors, purchasers, and programmers from specialised international festivals.
The carefully chosen selection of 65 short films, which includes eight works from the Autonomous Community featured in Territorios, the Canary Islands, will be screened from today until the 6th of March at Multicines Rosaleda. There will be 17 sessions that classify the titles according to genre, theme or geographical origin. Two of them are dedicated to film schools, and another two to Andalusian productions. The activities continue during the afternoon with meetings on issues affecting the industry, which will also be held in the Cajamar auditorium.
New this year, Industry Talks brings together the talks promoted by Spanish Screenings Content, including those in the Málaga Short Corner section. These are intended as a space for the exchange of ideas between emerging talents, experts, and professionals from the audiovisual industry.
Among other issues, the keys to the path a work must take to be selected for a Class A festival will be discussed, as well as advice on how to get funding. The trajectory of eroticism in short films and the influence of the queer in its development will also be addressed.
