La Villa del Mar abrió ayer sus puertas en su segunda edición, reafirmando su vocación como punto de referencia para tomar el pulso a las olas creativas y tecnológicas que definen el presente y el futuro del audiovisual.
El alcalde, Francisco de la Torre, presidió el acto de inauguración y celebró la vuelta de esta iniciativa tras el éxito de su primera edición como “un impulso a pensar cómo avanzar de la mano de la tecnología, reinventar la tradición y generar nuevas oportunidades”. En su intervención también destacó el cartel, “que muestra las olas junto a las palabras tecnología y cultura. Justo la definición de Málaga”, y concluyó su intervención deseando una larga vida a La Villa del Mar.
En cuanto terminó el acto protocolario, el alcalde conversó con los participantes en Hack MAFIZ Málaga que acudieron a la inauguración para iniciar acto seguido, junto al resto de autoridades, la visita a la Zona experiencial. Allí los tres módulos instalados funcionan como escaparates al presente y al futuro: primero, descubrieron cómo el vídeo generativo abre nuevas puertas a la creación audiovisual; después, experimentaron una inmersión en la realidad virtual que rompe los límites del espacio físico. El recorrido finalizó en la muestra de videojuegos inéditos desarrollados por creadores malagueños.
Tras la visita institucional arrancó el concierto ‘El rock se cuela en el cine’, que congregó a gran número de familias, y un workshop sobre los primeros videojuegos que adaptaron películas. Por la tarde, se celebró un taller de manga y cómic y la actuación del grupo de pop-punk Las Dianas.

La Villa del Mar opened its doors yesterday for its second edition, reaffirming its role as a benchmark for keeping abreast of the creative and technological waves that define the present and future of the audiovisual industry.
The mayor, Francisco de la Torre, presided over the opening ceremony, celebrating the return of this initiative after the success of its first edition as “an impetus to think about how to move forward with technology, reinvent tradition, and generate new opportunities”. In his speech, he also highlighted the poster, “which shows the waves alongside the words technology and culture. A perfect definition of Málaga”, and concluded his remarks by wishing La Villa del Mar a long life.
As soon as the official ceremony ended, the mayor chatted with the participants of Hack MAFIZ Málaga who attended the opening, and then, along with the other authorities, began a visit to the Experiential Zone. There, the three installed modules serve as showcases to the present and the future: first, they discovered how generative video opens new doors to audiovisual creation; then, they experienced an immersive virtual reality experience that breaks down the boundaries of physical space. The tour ended with a display of unreleased video games developed by creators from Malaga.
The institutional visit was followed by the concert El rock se cuela en el cine (Rock Sneaks into Cinema), bringing together a large number of families, and a workshop on the first video games adapted from films. In the afternoon, there was a manga and comic workshop and a performance by the pop-punk group Las Dianas.
